Fat Loss Calorie Deficit - 'Brown Fat' May Help Your Health, Even if You're Obese
Monday, (Healthday News) - A special body fat seems to help protect against a series of chronic diseases, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, a new study suggests .
Brown fat generates heat, drawing the glucose of the bloodstream, as opposed to the white fat storage fat, explained Senior researcher of Dr. Paul Cohen. He is an assistant professor and medical senior attendants at the University Hospital of Rockefeller in New York.
This type of tissue sounds like a gift from God. However, brown fat has long been thought for a long time to have little impact on human health because its brown fat stores diminish as you age.

"When we group our subjects based on their body mass index, we have seen that even obese people with brown fat protection of these conditions," Cohen said.
"For example, it is well known that type 2 diabetes is more common in overweight and obese individuals, but what we have seen was that even obese individuals who have brown fat have a significantly lower probability of type diabetes 2 than obese individuals without brown fat, "he continued.

Cohen and his team held out his hand to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, obtaining more than 130,000 exams with more than 52,000 patients. They then reviewed these scans to look for brown fat deposits.
Almost 10% of the patients carried active brown fat, Cohen said. He added that this is likely to underestimate because the patients submitted to the sweeps were invited to avoid cold exposure, exercise and caffeine, all of which increase brown fat activity.The researchers verified the previous results on brown fat - these women are more likely to take you than men, that the amount of brown fat decreases as you age and gain weight, and this active brown fat is more likely to be found in cold versus hot weather sweeps.
But when the research team compared brown fat levels to patients' medical stories, they found new associations between brown fabric and better general health in people regardless of weight.
For example, people with active brown fat has improved levels of cholesterol and blood sugar. They were also less likely to have high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, high blood pressure and type 2.
"Some of these associations have never been documented before," Cohen said, although the study did not Definitely that brown fat causes the risk of disease fall.
It's still unclear why this link may exist, said CIAL.
"Is it through the simple process of burning and fat burning to keep it warm, or is brown fat acting as an endocrine organ that releases hormones in the blood and leads to these benefits?" Cialy said.

Pharmaceutical companies are also looking for drugs that can activate brown fat and promote these benefits, Cohen said.
However, experts have agreed that very little is known about brown fat for anyone to try to lose weight or gain health benefits givillely in fresh or outdoor rooms.
."If you ate less at a meal, maybe it's better to drop some weight than trying to increase your brown fat," Cypess said. "I'll still tell the two things you need to do is eat a healthy meal plan and exercise, and hope we can bring brown fat activity on this plan."
